HOW IT WORKS

A clever little look.
A gentle experience.

We bring Plusoptix screening to participating schools, with simple arrangements for staff and families.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Both eyes.
One brief measurement.

The screener uses light-based measurements from a short distance. Both eyes are assessed together, without asking a child to describe an image or read a chart.

Measurements are compared with age-related referral criteria. The outcome helps identify who should have a comprehensive eye examination.

The device measurement can be very quick. The appointment also includes checking the child’s details, helping them settle and repeating the measurement when appropriate.

A SIMPLE JOURNEY

From invitation to next steps.

01

A school date is agreed

We confirm the practical arrangements and how families will register and pay.

02

A guardian gives consent

The parent or guardian reads the information and completes the school-specific process before screening.

03

The child is screened

A trained operator uses the device in a suitable room, with time for the child to settle.

04

The family receives an outcome

The parent or guardian receives the result privately, with follow-up guidance when further assessment is recommended.

This is instrument-based screening for certain risk factors, rather than a full eye examination. Device model and screening arrangements are confirmed for each programme.
